Take The Pledge
Please help us and complete the pledge now. If you want more information about why this is important, or other steps you can take to help Break the Poison Chain, please check out the topical menu on the left. Donating to our wildlife programs, the option available on the right, helps in our study and conservation of the wildlife of the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounding park lands.
Some alternatives are:
Seal up entry points into the house, attic, garage, and crawl spaces. Use 1/4 inch wire, steel wool, foam, weather stripping, and metal sheeting to close up holes.
Trim or remove thick vegetation where rodents nest.
Limit attractants such as pet food left outdoors, bird feeders, easily accessible fruit trees, and trash that is not properly sealed.
For the period 10/1/16-9/30/17, the Fund gave over $125.8K to support wildlife research and conservation. We maintain separate accounts for different ongoing efforts critical to wildlife. You are welcome to chose among them in order to target the effort you want to help. Can’t decide? Then give to the general wildlife account which is available for requests from park managers and scientists exclusively for wildlife. Please know, the different accounts are restricted, so we don’t allow one form of research to borrow from another one.
