Break the Poison Chain

Break the Poison Chain is a joint campaign with National Park Service to provide information on how to avoid using rat poison when dealing with pest problems on your property.  As part of the NPS Nature Neighbor campaign, this campaign highlights another way in which people can live in proximity to wildlife.

AB1788 was signed in Fall 2020. This temporarily bans four poisons used in anticoagulant rodenticide. Break the Poison Chain offers information on protecting your home from pests without using rat poison. Let’s protect wildlife and our pets!
