Patrol Trails

Volunteers play a valuable role ensuring the trails of the Santa Monica Mountains are safe and inviting. Whether by bike or by horse, volunteers supplement park rangers in patrolling the 500 miles of trails within the park’s boundary. Patrol volunteers encourage resource protection by promoting responsible trail use and educational awareness. They also provide first aid and assistance to visitors in need.

You can make a difference by joining one of the two organizations dedicated to volunteer trail patrols:

Mountain Bike Unit
