The wait-list for school classes wanting to attend National Park Service outdoor education programs at Santa Monica Mountains is as long as two years?
It could be longer, but the park doesn't take reservations more than two years out. The popularity of the programs may in part be due to studies that show children learn and retain as much as 100% more effectively when they are able to do so in an outdoors context.
