Come join us May 7th (4:00-7:30PM) for a celebration of the Santa Monica Mountains in Spring. Help us honor the women who have contributed to the preservation of the Santa Monica Mountains over the years. Enjoy delightful music by Donna de Lory and Steps of Doe, delicious food and convivial company at the beautiful Anthony C. Beilenson Interagency Visitor Center at King Gillette Ranch, 26876 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, CA, 91302.
This event is the principal general fundraising event for the Santa Monica Mountains Fund and will help us support the ongoing work of the National Park Service for wildlife, education programs and park facilities.
Donna de Lory’s music combines sparkling pop savvy with a deeply felt sense of spirituality, and has won her a strong worldwide fan base. Her voice can be heard on albums by Carly Simon, Santana, Belinda Carlisle, Selena, Bette Midler, Barry Manilow, and Madonna, with whom she toured and recorded for twenty years.
Upcoming gothic folk duo Steps of Doe (Molly Falck and Keena Batti) has a sound that is polished and original. Formed after their graduation from UC Berkeley they incorporate echoes of the ’60s folk scene in Greenwich Village and hints of the medieval. They are regulars on LA’s indie folk scene.
